           Difference:One

●If you look at the baking soda's container,you will see only one ingredient that is sodium bicarbonate whose formula is NaHCO₃.Sodium bicarbonate is a salt that reacts with acids to produce carbondioxide and water.When cooking ,carbondioxide gas causes batters to expand and change texture.

●On the other hand, If you look at the container of Baking powder,you will get a mixture of four different chemicals which are:

 1)Sodium bicarbonate which is baking powder.

 2)Corn Starch

 3)Monocalcium phosphate

 4)Sodium acid phosphate

 Sometimes,you will get cream of tartar,also known as potassium hydrogen tartrate,KC₄H₅O₆.

●Baking soda reacts with vinegar(acid) but it does not
 react with water.


●On the otherhand, baking power reacts both vinegar(acid) and water.
