           Difference:One

If you look at the baking soda's container,you will see only one ingredient that is sodium bicarbonate whose formula is NaHCO₃.Sodium bicarbonate is a salt that reacts with acids to produce carbondioxide and water.When cooking ,carbondioxide gas causes batters to expand and change texture.

On the other hand, If you look at the container of Baking powder,you will get a mixture of four different chemicals which are:

1)Sodium bicarbonate which is baking powder.

2)Corn Starch

3)Monocalcium phosphate

4)Sodium acid phosphate

Sometimes,you will get cream of tartar,also known as potassium hydrogen tartrate,KC₄H₅O₆.

●Baking soda reacts with vinegar(acid) but it does not
 react with water.


On the otherhand, baking power reacts both vinegar(acid) and water.
