To find out the number of neutrons  for  antimony(Sb) ,we have to have knowledge about atomic number, atomic mass, mass number of  antimony(Sb)
.Click picture to see clearly.

                    Step-1:

●The atomic number of
antimony(Sb)  is the number of protons in antimony(Sb) nucleus.

●The atomic mass of
antimony(Sb)   is the average number of  protons plus neutrons of all the isotopes of   antimony(Sb) .

●The masss number of
antimony(Sb)  is the number of protons plus neutrons of a specific isotope of  antimony(Sb)   .

How Many Neutrons Does antimony(Sb) Have?

                    Step-2:

We need to convert atomic mass of
antimony(Sb)  to mass number of  antimony(Sb) by rounding if necessary (In case of fraction) .

From periodic table,

  ●Atomic number of
 antimony(Sb) is 51.

●Atomic mass of
antimony(Sb) is 121.8

●To find out mass number,we need to round
121.8 to a whole number.

So,by rounding,we are getting the  mass number of antimony(Sb).The mass number of antimony(Sb) (we are getting) is 122.

                    Step-3:

How Many Neutrons Does antimony(Sb) Have?

By the difference between mass number and atomic number of
antimony(Sb),we get the number of neutrons in antimony(Sb).

●Number of neutrons=122-51=71

In another way,

●Mass number=Protons +Neutrons

Or,122 =51+Neutrons

Or,122-51=Neutrons

Therefore,
Neutrons=71

Therefore, the number of neutrons in antimony(Sb) is 71 here for this isotope.Remember that neutrons are present in the nucleous of antimony(Sb) and it's charge is zero.

●Number of protons in
antimony(Sb) is 51.Protons are present in the nucleus of antimony(Sb) .

● Number of electrons in
antimony(Sb)  is 51.Remember that number of electron equals to proton in a neutral atom.Eletrons are present outside of nucleus of antimony(Sb)  .
