2/3 Times 8 in fraction Form

2/3 Times 8 in fraction Form

Solution:

           2/3 Times 8

            Step-1:
Times means "×" sign

=2/3 × 8

Now express 8 as a fraction considering 1 as a denominator.

=2/3 × 8/1

                 Step-2:

●Multiply all top numbers. The obtained number will be the numerator of the new fraction.

●Multiply all bottom numbers. The obtained number will be the denominator of the new fraction.

=(2×8)/(3×1)

                Step-3:

Now simplify the new fraction by canceling the common factors if needed.

=(2×8)/(3×1)

=16/3

As there is no common factor of 16 and 3 ,
So,2/3 times 8 as a fraction is  16/3.
But as this is an improper fraction,we need to change it as a mixed fraction.

So,2/3 times 8
 is 5 1/3.(Answer)
