How to convert ethyne to ethene

Ethyne in presence of Pd and BaSO₄ reacts with hydrogen gas(H₂) at 25ºC and produce ethene.Actually,controlled reduction of ethyne produces ethene.The IUPAC name of ethylene is ethene and the IUPAC name of acetylene is ethyne.

Here BaSO₄ acts as a catalyst towards Pd catalyst reducing its catalytic action and controls the reaction  upto first stage.
